EDITORIAL AND ADVERTISING ADVISORY Contact: Kristie Helms            617-312-7856            April 28, 2008 USE OF THE BOSTON PRIDE LOGO In the winter of 2008, the Boston Pride Committee registered its name (“Boston Pride Committee”) and logo (“Boston Pride Dots Logo”) with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as service marks. These service-marked items cannot be legally used or reproduced without written permission. Editorial Use In accordance with AP Style, when a service mark or trademark is used, it should be capitalized. When the Boston Pride logo is used to accompany a news article, Boston Pride would request that the service mark symbol accompany it. An EPS or JPG file of the current logo is available upon request by contacting media@bostonpride.org. Advertising or Promotional Use Any use of the Boston Pride logo must be approved by the Boston Pride Committee in writing prior to use. The Boston Pride Committee must review and approve in writing all materials using these service-marked items including, but not limited to, promotional items, press releases, public service announcements, posts, ads, brochures, etc. before they are used. Boston Pride For 38 years Boston Pride has been celebrating the successes of New England’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. The Boston Pride Committee organizes a week of highly successful Pride events each year with over 1 million participants sharing in the celebration throughout the week. Boston Pride 2008 will take place June 6 through June 15.
